Viviana Losacco
My name is Viviana Losacco, and I grew up in Bari, a port city in southern Italy. The light, the proximity to the sea, and the dense, vibrant atmosphere continue to shape my visual sensibility to this day.My creative roots lie in fashion design. Over time, my focus shifted away from the body toward the relationship between human, material, and space. I wanted to work with greater freedom and perceive material as an entity in its own right.I work with industrial deadstock wool and New Zealand wool, placing an increasing focus on recycled materials. My works invite the viewer to draw closer. They unfold their impact through direct experience—in the interplay of surface, presence, and space.I live and work in Leipzig.
