My name is Viviana Losacco. I grew up in Bari, a port city in southern Italy. The light, the proximity to the sea, and the dense, vibrant atmosphere continue to shape my visual sensibility to this day.

My creative roots lie in fashion design. Over time, my focus shifted away from the body toward the relationship between human, material, and space. I wanted to work with greater freedom and perceive material as an entity in its own right.

I work with industrial deadstock wool and New Zealand wool, with an increasing focus on recycled materials.

My works invite the viewer to draw closer. They unfold their impact through direct experience—in the interplay of surface, presence, and space.

I live and work in Leipzig.

My artistic practice is rooted in a deep understanding of material and construction—knowledge I acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design at the BURG Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, alongside studies in fashion design and various internships.

After gaining experience in the Berlin fashion scene, I established my own freelance studio in 2025: Vilos Studio. My work focuses on the intersection of craft heritage and modern design, driven by a particular interest in sustainable concepts.

My work has been presented in various international contexts—including a solo exhibition at the Burg2 Gallery in Halle (Saale) and as part of the special showcase "Talente – Masters of the Future" at the International Crafts Fair in Munich. In 2024, I exhibited at SaloneSatellite during Salone del Mobile in Milan; additionally, I was recently named a winner of the "REVIER PIONIER" competition (2025) in the "Founder" category for my sustainable business concept.
